Masters Wrestling Program
Masters Wrestling Program
Master wrestling is open to men and women that are post high school graduation and at least 18 years of age. Two years of wrestling or grappling experience is highly recommended and our masters wrestling class is not suited for beginners. This is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to develop their wrestling skills and improve their physical fitness in a supportive and structured environment. This class is also an excellent way to prepare for MMA training and improve your stand-up/take down skills, upper body tactics, and ground control. There will be an emphasis on improving technique while also sparring and live wrestling.
A typical masters class will include learning take downs, top and bottom wrestling, and mat awareness, with a focus on developing full-body strength, endurance, and discipline. Classes are suitable for those with a basic wrestling background at a minimum and can also include advanced training and conditioning for anyone that is more experienced. In addition to take downs/neutral wrestling there will also be a strong emphasis on mat wrestling/ground game. In addition to wrestling instruction, drilling and live wrestling this will be a comprehensive workout that improves strength, stamina, and cardiovascular fitness.
